On April 21st, 2010, Jack Kemp, 58 of Spearfish, decided to go on an adventure. Usually his adventure involved his family but on that very special day he had to go alone.
He was born November 14, 1951 in Lead to Thomas and Doris (Sargent) Kemp. He grew up in Lead and graduated from Lead High School in 1968. He was a man of many talents and took pride in all that he did. He was most known for being the milkman and also enjoyed mechanics. Although he had a multiple amount of careers, his number one job was always as a husband and father.
Jack had a passion for the outdoors, as he loved hunting, fishing, or just exploring. You would always find him on the sidelines at any of the local sporting events, and especially of those that his children were in. Jack was a family man. His wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his heart. He always loved when Reva took him on adventure to see all of their kids.
He is survived by Reva his loving wife of 37 years; his four children, son Jonathan (Abby) Kemp, of Summerset, SD; son Josh (Ferra) Kemp of Stickney, SD; daughter Jessicca (Aaron) McKeown of Denver, CO; and Jayda Kemp (Ry VanDerVorst) of Belle Fourche, SD. Five Grandchildren: Jaylen, Jacey, Jett, Quinn, and Carter. Siblings Robert (Joyce) Kemp, Tony (Denise) Kemp, Joyce (Lowell) Carlson. Sister-in-laws Rose Jarvis and Lisa (Doug) Coolley and his Mother-in-Law and very dear friend Ione Quenzer of Lead, SD.
In this adventure Jack will be meeting up with his father-in-law, Sterling "Jack" Quenzer.
His parents will also be welcoming him with open arms.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels & Crematory Service of Spearfish.
