John A. Jarvis went to meet his dad, Sam and his brother, Rich to go hunting and fishing on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the chapel.

A memorial has been established.

John was born September 13, 1955 to Samuel H. and Marie L. (Berschied) Jarvis in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was raised and attended school in Mascoutah, IL. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp., and was later honorably discharged. He married Cindy Hedge in 1989, and the couple made their home near Rochford. John enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be hunting pheasants in Faulkton, fishing in a pond or stream or gold panning, John enjoyed being outdoors.


His great love will be missed by his family, including his wife, Cindy Jarvis, mother, Marie Jarvis, brother, Bruce (Ronda) Jarvis, sister-in-law, Rose Jarvis, nieces, Tiffany Ness and Moon Jarvis-Hemeyer, nephew, Kyle Jarvis and fiancé Molly and his great-nieces and nephews; Alex, Connor, Camden, Payce and Nolen.

John was preceded in death by his father, Samuel and his brother, Richard.
