Joe E. Edwards, 68, of Sundance, WY, passed away April 18, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Joe was born November 16, 1942, in Tallassee, AL. He served in the Army and Army Reserve from 1959 to 1967. Joe married Evelyn Powell and to this union three children were born. In April, 1982, he married Alethea Huckins. He worked most of his life in the woods. In 2000, he left the woods, spending his last two working years at the Camplex in Gillette, WY.

Joe is survived by his wife, Alethea; children, Kathy (Brian) Davis, Cedar Rapids, IA; Tom Edwards, Belle Fourche, SD; and Lisa (Jerry) Brown, Rapid City; 2 stepsons, Robert (Sheila) Huckins, Rozet, WY; and Clayton (Charlene) Huckins, Moorcroft, WY; 2 brothers, Jerry (Carol) Edwards, Hendersonville, NC; and Charlie (Mollie) Edwards, Crestview, FL; 1 sister, Ann (Jerry) McClain, Orrick, MO; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 step daughter.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 6 PM on Friday, April 22, 2011, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Hulett Civic Center in Hulett, WY.
