Obituary
Jo Lea Metz, 75 of Spearfish, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at her home.
Jo Lea was born to Duward C and Iola (Scott) Evans on November 19, 1938 in Fargo, ND and grew up primarily in Fargo.
She married Robert G. Metz on July 15, 1960. They lived in Fargo all of their married life. Together they raised one son and one daughter.
Survivors include her son, David G.(Renae) Metz of Spearfish; daughter, Allison J. (Randy) Nowakowski of Fargo, ND; two sisters, Doreen Friedman of Wisconsin and Mary Ann (John) Grover of Iowa; four grandchildren whom she loved very much, Bryce, Shayna, Dillion and Jade; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Barbara) Metz; twelve nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews along with many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Jerry and Ward Evans.
Jo Lea was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and her memorial service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Spearfish. A memorial has been established to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her wish was to be cremated and buried next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo, ND.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
