Jessie Marie Williams, affectionately called "Lovey", by her family, was born December 9, 1926 and died peacefully at her home December 4, 2017 with family by her side.
Jessie grew up in the mining town, Tinton, with her four brothers, attending 1st through 9th grade there. She boarded and attended Spearfish High School. She attended BH Teacher's College and the Minneapolis School of Business for a year each.
She married Noble T. Williams, September 1, 1950. They had three children. They lived in Alaska for one year and then returned to live in Rapid Valley where they built and ran Willy's Trailer Park for eight years.
The family then returned to Spearfish where they remained.
Jessie worked for Sullivan Insurance before returning to the 1st National Bank and retired from there.
Jessie enjoyed fishing, camping, berry picking, rock collecting and gardening. She also like word jumbles, yard sales, traveling, bowling and golf. Ice cream, popcorn and watermelon were her go to foods.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble and three brothers.
Jessie is survived by her brother, Chuck (Dorothy) of Gillette, WY; daughter, Laurie (Richard) Hayes and son, Rand (Gayla) Williams, both of Spearfish and daughter, Dawn (Bill) Reiter of Riverton, WY; her grandchildren, John (Rebecca)Williams and Patrick (Lauren) Williams of Spearfish, Julie Williams of Chicago, IL, Ben Reiter of Sheridan, WY, Emily Reiter and fiancé Jermy Duffy of Arvada, CO, Hailey Reiter of Lander, WY and Lucas Hayes of Spearfish. She delighted in her great-grandchildren, Annie, Reed and Jack.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with graveside rites following at Rosehill Cemetery. A light lunch will follow at the Spearfish Senior Center, 1306 Tenth Street in Spearfish. A memorial has been established to have a bench placed in honor of Jessie and her husband, Noble.
