Obituary

Jesse Franklin Hauk, born April 6, 1983, in Gillette, Wyoming, was sent to his eternal home October 1, 2024.

At age two, Jesse and his family moved from Gillette to Wall, South Dakota. He attended Wall Public Schools until moving with his mom to Huron, South Dakota, where he finished high school.

Those who knew Jesse best will remember him for his big, beautiful smile and blue eyes, and his deep-rooted commitment to making others smile. In fact, from the time he was a little boy, he never met a stranger that he didn't come to know. He had a gift for gab, much like his Grandpa Jay. Jesse enjoyed the outdoors and all such activity, adventure, and pleasing his family and friends.  One of the things he cherished most was spending time with Lainie and Sam and being involved in their activities.  He had a faith in Jesus even as life's struggles fell upon him. Jesse was intelligent and talented, and he could do most anything.

Jesse's passing has left a void in the hearts of his children, family, and those who loved him. We ask you not to remember his life as it ended, but instead remember his beautiful smile, love for people, his faith, and enterprising spirit.

Jesse is survived by his loving children, Lainie and Sam Hauk, his mother Karla Hauk, his brother Jeremy (Jessica) Hauk, and nieces and nephew Maggie, Molly and Sauntee Hauk. He also leaves behind his beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all cherish his memory.

Preceding Jesse in death are his father, Richard Hauk, brother Joshua Hauk, and grandparents Margaret (Tootie) and Jay Ruckdaschel, Donna Shelton, and Max Hauk.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, starting at 1:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 10060 Foothill Drive, Piedmont, SD 57769. Any memorials will be used for the support and education of Jesse's children, Lainie and Sam.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish. Online condolences may be written at www.fidler-isburgfuneralchapels.com
