Jerry George Jeffery, 77 of Spearfish, went to our Heavenly Father on December 31, 2015.

Jerry was born on January 5, 1938 to Albert and Kathleen (Anderson) Jeffery and lived on the family farm north of Spearfish while growing up.

He was in the National Guard in South Dakota and Wyoming. While in the National Guard he achieved sharp shooter status. Jerry married Vicki Wolff on June 1, 1968 and they later divorced. Jerry worked many places including BHSU, Sunshine Fruits and weed spraying for Butte County. He had a great love for pitching horseshoes and belonged to the Spearfish Horseshoe Club for many years, where he received several trophies, plaques and patches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Kathleen Jeffery and an infant sister. He is survived by many cousins.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been establish to Hospice of the Northern Hills.
