IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanette
Paramo
April 22, 1941 – January 4, 2022
Our Mom, Jeanette Olivia Paramo (Thomson) was born April 22, 1941 in San Diego, California. The only girl in a home full of brothers Morton, Everett, Donny and Deland, the competition was fierce and they all grew with a robust love for winning. They spent their days roaming the beautiful beaches of Southern California until she married Charles Hazlett, a Navy man, who whisked her away to the quiet prairies and farm lands of Nebraska. The first four children came into her life, Russell, Noreen, Sandy and Shereese. This Navy family traveled up and down the western states, and she became a nurse while raising her brood. Through the years, she cared for and provided passionate service to many people and their families. We all remember spending time within the walls of the Nursing Facility she worked for many years, becoming a part of the lives that lived within. Life moves in mysterious ways and she eventually married a second time to Peter L. Paramo Jr. Mom brought Felecia into the world and with Peter III and Michelle, our blended family grew. She was Mom to us all, she loved and protected us with a fierce love that will endure through all space and time. Auntie Penny, Nana and our three cousins Robert, Gabe and Amy made our big blended family complete.
Many adventures both arduous and fun filled our days, and we settled on California Central Coast. Weekend campouts at the beaches, telling stories by firelight both thrilled and scared us. The beach was our home and provided us all connection, comfort and laughter that remains a part of each of us, a place where we learned how to stick together come what may. Mom is lovingly remembered for her incredible strength, wisdom, laughter and an unyielding craving for her Yuban coffee.
We children gathered and spent Christmas with Mom, laughing, connecting, comforting and celebrating Love. She died on a snowy Tuesday morning in South Dakota. She will be forever missed and always Loved.
