Jean Ann Johnson was born in Spokane, Washington on February 4, 1939. She and her family moved to Tacoma, Washington, where she graduated from high school. Shortly after graduating she moved to Deadwood. In 1969 she married Everet Johnson and became a mother to three beautiful and loving children; Cindy, Adriane and Michael. While in the Deadwood, Jean worked for Hayes & Richards Law Firm, Island Building Center, Lawrence County Public Health Nurse, Homestake Mining Co, and retired from the US Postal Service in 1999. Jean and Everet also lived in Minnesota and Vale, SD. Jean moved to Spearfish shortly after Everet passed away. Jean left this life January 22, 2015 at her home.
She leaves behind her children, Cindy Loguda of Rapid City, SD, Adriane (Kurt) Melcher of Lead, SD and Michael (Lisa) Johnson of Spearfish, SD; she also leaves behind seven wonderful grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Jean was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm, January 27, 2015 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Funeral services will be at 10am, January 28, 2015 at the funeral chapel.
