Jay Page, 76 of Spearfish, SD passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Custer Senior Care in Custer, SD.
Jay was born in Sundance WY to Henry and Nellie (Huseby) Page on November 23, 1935. Jay grew up and went to school in Hulett, WY. Jay married Shirley McAmis on November 3, 1954 and lived in Hulett, Belle Fourche and Spearfish. Jay was a dozer operator for 36 years and loved cutting wood for their fireplace and tinkering in his wood shop and visiting with friends and family.
Jay's is survived by his wife Shirley of Belle Fourche, daughters Karen (Rich) Morgan of Alzada, Mt, Minnie (Russ) Surdez of Belle Fourche and a son Dennis (Donna) of Spearfish. Grandchildren, Brian (Jess) Morgan, Sheridan WY, Shannon Surdez, Rapid City, Tigh Surdez, Richfield, MN, Ashley Utecht, Minneapolis, MN, J.D. (Stacy)Page, Spearfish, Tanner (Lexi) Page, Spearfish, Wendy (Lance) Jorgenson, DeWitt, IA,
Todd (Maia) Surdez, Kearney, MO, Tracy (Todd) Vik, Canton, SD, also 11 ½ great-grandchildren. Brother Orville Page, Soap Lake, WA, Loyd Page, Priest River, ID, sister Jane Conger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. A luncheon will be served at the VFW on Hwy 14 before leaving for the burial at the Alva Cemetery in Alva, WY. A memorial has been established to benefit Alzheimer Disease.
