Obituary
Jason Harvey Apa, 42 of Lead passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his home.
Jason was born on February 6, 1968 to Jerry and MartyAnn (Ferrero) in Brookings, SD. He grew-up and atttended school in Lead, graduating from Lead High School in 1986 and from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1994 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Jason worked as a Highway Engineer until the time of his death.
He is survived by his parents Jerry and MartyAnn Apa of Lead; brothers Jarrett (Leslie) of Spearfish and Jeremy of Bozeman, MT. Grandmother Shirley Ferrero of Lead, SD; cousin Marty (Deana) Aspen of Wasilla, AK; three aunts, four uncles, and numerous cousins. Jason was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather and one aunt.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 20th at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kerry Prendiville as celebrant at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lead. Interment will follow at Mountain Lawn Cemetery in Lead.
