Janis Hall-Jones, 69, of Spearfish, lost her five and a half year battle with PSP on July 21, 2016.
She leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Maurice Jones of Spearfish, daughters, Hillarie Jackson of Spearfish and Ashley Alley of Bozeman, MT; four grandchildren; sisters Vones Pool, of Rapid City and Rogene Dutton of Pierre; and brothers, Dennis Hall of Rapid City, Dallas Hall of Waverly, NE and Dorland Hall of Wahoo, NE.
Janis graduated from SDSU with a degree in Journalism. She was employed at SD State Travel and Tourism and as a stringer for the Sturgis paper. She also worked for NCB in Rapid City and St. Martins Academy in marketing. She found her true love as the founder and owner of Wear It Again Sam in Rapid City. She owned and operated the business for over 20 years and loved interacting with people on a daily basis.
Janis quick smile and friendly nature will be missed by her family, friends and the many clients who became friends.
Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established to benefit the SD Audubon Society.
