Jacquelyn Ann Offerdahl, 61, of Central City, SD, died Monday, November 26th 2007 at the Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital in Deadwood, SD after a long battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 1-6 P.M., Wednesday, November 28th 2007 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 29th 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church in Deadwood with Reverend Gordon Goldammer officiating, burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Jacquelyn was born in Albin, WY, on August 19th 1946 to Walter and Bernice Cox. She grew up and attended school in Albin. She married Elroy Offerdahl on August 7th 1967 in Belle Fourche, SD. The couple moved to the Central City area where she worked at various places including the Sun Mart in Lead, Dorsett Home in Spearfish for many years, Black Hills Special Services and taking care of the elderly who were home bound. Jacquelyn enjoyed woodworking, crafts and attending auctions.
Jacquelyn is survived by four children, Sonia (Corey) Kopp of Central City, Lynn Corkins of Deadwood, Lea Ann (Donnie) Cudmore of Sturgis, and Sam Offerdahl of Houghton, KS, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by four sisters, Vivian Flores of Arizona, Georgia Moore, Ethel DiSimone both of Nevada, and Patricia Kruse of Lead, SD, and two brothers, Walter Cox of Whitewood, SD, and Frank Perez of Wyoming.
Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Nancy.
