Jacquelyn “Jocy” Fiedler, 92, of Glenham passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Edgewood Vista Senior Living Facility in Spearfish, SD where she had resided since June 2025.

Jocy was born Jacquelyn Joyce Berg on August 24, 1934 in rural Walworth County, SD to Walter and Velma (Bosch) Berg. She was raised on the family farm near Lowery, SD. Her aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Jake Lutz, cared for her after her parents passed away when she was in high school. She graduated from Glenham High School in 1952. She married the love of her life DuWayne “Stu” Fiedler on June 7, 1953. They had celebrated 68 years together when Stu died after a long illness in 2021.

After graduating high school, Jocy attended teacher’s college in Aberdeen, SD and taught school for two years in a one room school house in rural Walworth County. Jocy became a full time wife and mother when her first child was born in 1954, and she and Stu raised their four children in Glenham, SD. After the birth of her last child she went back to work as a business manager for the Glenham and Selby school districts. She retired in 1997. Many of Jocy and Stu’s fondest memories were of the time spent with family and friends. She leaves behind her four children; Pam (Bob) Myhre Las Vegas, NV, Twyla (Scott) Dinsmore Thermopolis, WY, Curt (Lori) Fiedler Spearfish, SD, Scott Fiedler Las Vegas, NV, seven grandchildren; David Myhre, Brian (Caitlin) Myhre, Jordan Fiedler, KC Fiedler, Trev (Erin) Fiedler, Jessah (Alex) Schone, and Amanda Dinsmore, six great grandchildren, Elsie, Isaiah, and Lily Fiedler, Olivia and Ella Schone, and Sienna Myhre. She is survived by two siblings, Gary Berg and Doug Berg, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jocy was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Jake Lutz, her sister Deanne Congdon, her brother Ronald Berg, her brother in law Bob Congdon, and her sister in law Ruby Berg.

Per Jocy’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
