Jacqueline Wasson, 82 of Spearfish died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.
Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, with Chaplain Charley Conger officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum in St. Louis, Missouri.
A memorial has been established to benefit the Northern Hills Humane Society.
Jacqueline was born April 12, 1926 to Helen and Edgar Apel in St. Louis Mo. She completed her education through high school and then went on to graduate from secretarial school. Afterwards she became employed by Monsanto Chemical Company, where she met her husband Donald Lloyd Wasson. They had three children: Don Wasson, Tampa, FL, Desiree (Wasson) Goodson, Spearfish, SD, and Christel (Wasson) Coleman, Austin, TX. After her third child was born, she went back to school to study computer programming. She then took a job with US Army Personnel Office where she worked until her retirement. After retiring she lived in Austin, Texas, and her final years were spent in Spearfish, SD.
Jacqueline is survived by her three children and five grandchildren - Danielle Goodson, April Goodson, Zach Coleman, Jenna Coleman, and Kacey Coleman. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
