IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jack
Welfl
May 7, 2019 – September 19, 2023
Baby Jack
Jack's life mission, which he completed admirably, was to bring the gift of the purest love, unconditionally, to as many as possible in need of Jack's gift. From one, small "special" boy, so much love was spread among so many.
Jack found a special place in the lives of so many. Friends, family, nurses and physicians, caretakers, teachers, everyday people and many who were just strangers in the right place. All who knew Jack will have a special place in their hearts that will remain as long as Jack is remembered.
Jack came into their lives as the only child of his parents Kade and Elizabeth (Leininger) Welfl on May 7th, 2019. They soon learned of the gift given to them through Jack. Unconditional love from a beautiful and happy child despite his formidable life challenges. A smile from Jack could melt a heart or the polar ice cap. His gaze into your eyes was a peek at your soul. His baby laugh was contagious. His snuggling into your arms left you feeling like nothing else in the world mattered.
Jack blessed his grandparents Rick Welfl, Greg and Camilla Leininger, Dick and Gloria Pluimer and great-grandmother Virginia Breitkreutz. Jack was blessed with so many aunts, uncles, and cousins that space does not permit to name them all. Hundreds of Jack's friends will feel his loss. But one memory or picture of one smile from Jack will bring his goodness alive again.
Jack and his parents were graciously blessed with remarkable caretakers over his short life. Ms. Ashley, Ms. Macy, Ms. Danielle, Ms. Kenzie, Ms. Bella and Ms. Ashlyn cared for baby Jack like he was their own, showering him with love as well as care. Jack's family will be forever grateful to each of them. Jack's sight was questionable but hearing any of their voices brought uncontrollable joy to Jack, even years or months later. When Jack reacted like that, you knew you were loved by Jack. And that is one of the greatest feelings life offers.
Jack's short, but meaningful life will be celebrated Sunday, September 24 at 2:00 PM at The Barn at Aspen Acres, north of Spearfish, with viewing 1 hour prior.
Please consider a charitable donation to the Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation. We are continuing Jack's dream of an inclusive playground, where children of all abilities can come together in joyous play. Your support will not only honor Jack's memory, but it will also leave a legacy of kindness and inclusiveness in our community. teamkenadi.com
