Jack B. Loree, 84, of Spearfish, SD passed away on March 29, 2019 in his home.

Jack Burton Loree was born September 7, 1934 in Battle Creek, MI to Florin and Helen Loree. He attended school there and later moved to Alzada, MT to help out his mother, Helen, and stepfather, Willard on the ranch. Jack returned to Michigan and began working at Lift Tech, where he worked for nearly 50 years until his retirement.

It was in Michigan that he met and married Joyce Teuling on November 7, 1953. To this union, Ron and Renee were born. Jack was very involved in church choir as an excellent tenor and also sang duets with Joyce and later in a trio. Jack and Joyce made their home in Muskegon, MI until 2006, when they moved to Spearfish, SD. There, they helped care for Jack's mother, Helen Mathwig following the death of Helen's husband, Willard Mathwig.

Jack and his late wife, Joyce, were avid sports fans of BHSU Yellow Jackets and Spearfish Spartans. Jack continued to attend high school games after his wife's passing in 2017. Jack also remained an avid Michigan Wolverine fan and was often seen sporting Michigan apparel. He enjoyed the early morning camaraderie with the McDonald's and the Burger King group and was a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church in Spearfish.

Jack is survived by his son, Ron (Kris) Loree of Muskegon, MI, his daughter, Renee Gardner of Centennial, CO, and four grandchildren: Deandra (Ryan Deming) of Ft. Collins, CO, and Derek, Demetri, and Delaina of Centennial, CO.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Grace Fellowship Church in Spearfish, SD. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
