Irene R. Webb, 81, of Spearfish passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids Minnesota. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Irene was born on May 29, 1927 to Robert and Hatti Marple. As the youngest of 19 children, she grew up south of Dupree. On Oct 12, 1944 Irene and Jim Webb were joined in marriage and lived in the Dupree area until their retirement in 1987 when they moved to Spearfish.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Jim, grandson Jim, grandson Mike, parents Robert and Hatti, brothers Thomas, James, Fred, Bill, Walter (Bunny), George (Muffy), Frank, Sam, Robert (Cub), Ralph and Clifford Wayne and sisters Eva, Vestia (Beth), Louise, Mary, Cecelia, Mable and Edna.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Janet (Jim) Hunt of Milwaukee OR, Mary Jane (Tom) Snider of Colorado Springs CO, Lorraine (Todd) Raffelson of Buffalo MN and her sons, Jim (JoAnn) of Dupree, George (Joy) of Ridgefield WA, Tom (Donna) of Spearfish, Tim (Sue) of Vancouver WA, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at UCC Congregational in Dupree at 1:00 pm on August 23, 2008, with Pastor Allen Menter officiating. There will be a luncheon at the church following the committal service at Dupree Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
