Imogene Lucille Edinger, 84, Spearfish and formerly of Highmore, SD, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the David M. Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Highmore with Pastor Jenene Earl officiating, burial will follow at the Highmore City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
A memorial has been established to benefit "Steps for Hope" in Highmore.
Imogene was born February 6, 1923, at Esmond, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Ebba (Peterson) Bergquist. She spent the majority of her childhood in White Lake and graduated from White Lake High School in 1941. She married Earl Elias Edinger on December 25, 1941 in White Lake. The couple farmed north of Plankinton until 1959, when they moved to Highmore. She worked at the Highmore Clinic for several years before her retirement.
Survivors include her daughters; Becky King, Rapid City, Brenda King (Curtis Card), Spearfish, Judith Dobbs, Rapid City and Joy (Buckie) Huehl, Watertown, sisters; Agnes Hatfield, Bowie MD and Shirley Kraft, Platte, SD, brother, Francis Bergquist, Saratoga, WY, seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, son, Rodney, her parents, two brothers, as well as a brother in infancy, and four sisters.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels of Spearfish and Isburg Funeral Chapels of Pierre.
