Hermann Kletzmayer "Hermann the German", 76, of SD died on Friday March 2nd, 2018 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born in Scharding, Austria on June 4, 1941 to Wilhelm and Zazilia Kletzmayer and had three brothers and three sisters.
He moved to America in 1959 and married Lola Wallace. Together they had four children who all grew up in the Spearfish area. Hermann was a commercial painter for most of his life and spent his later years working with friends at The Stadium Sports Grill.
Hermann was an altar boy with his Catholic Church in Austria and a honorary member of the Spearfish Volunteer Fire Dept. He also liked fishing and hunting in his younger days and took up woodworking later in life.
He is survived by Lola, his wife of 56 years; daughters, Loleta Akinson and Jeannie Stoline; sons, Herman and Jeff; eight grandkids and 12 great-grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers.
A Memorial service will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
