Obituary

Heath Buchholz Gauze, 50 of Belle Fourche, SD, went to be with his Lord and his Dad on Friday, 27 October 2017. He was born October 8, 1967 in Savannah, Georgia to James Edward Gauze and Aletha Carol Buchholz Gauze.

He loved life and lived it to its fullest - no fear! As an Army Brat, he was able to live in Germany and Norway as well as 24 different states moving 28 times. He loved learning new cultures. Heath never met a stranger! He had many good friends from Texas and South Dakota, others scattered throughout the United States and overseas that he loved to keep in touch with. Heath had compassion for everyone he met including all of God's creatures that he brought many home with him! He loved to talk and tell many, many jokes - most of them "PG".

Heath had amazing artistic talents. He could sketch anything, create any idea in clay, carve wood and rock into fun and practical ideas. Heath was a wiz with words in his writing, creating many of his own jokes and beautiful poems which we will cherish forever. He spent many years in construction and building trades, built many fences, repairing and restoring different projects including the upholstery work in cars and boats. He learned how to grow mushrooms at a mushroom factory in Texas! He took on any task with creativity and fun in completing his work. His favorite subject, second only to bragging about his daughter Hannah, was cars - he could tell you anything about any car and its engine!

Heath leaves behind his Mother, Aletha; two sisters, Johna and Kris; a daughter, Hannah; one niece, Maranda; two great-nieces, Ryleigh and Brooklyn; one great-nephew, Anson; Aunts and Uncles and many cousins on both sides of his family. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Leo and Ethel Buchholz; paternal grandparents, Harry and Rose Gauze; step-grandfather, Leo Erz; one Uncle, Charles Buchholz; and 3 cousins, Robert, Scott and Brian Buchholz.

We will miss him terribly. He was buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery with his maternal Grandparents and other family members.
