Harriet Farrell Dias, 73 of Spearfish, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 13, 2015 at the David M Dorsett Healthcare Center.

Harriet was born to Floyd and Permilia (Maher) Farrell on July 27, 1941. She graduated from Spearfish High School in 1959. After graduating, she worked for the phone company before moving to California. In 1962, she married Ron Dias in Burbank, CA. After moving back to Spearfish in 1975, she attended BHSU with a dual major in Library Science and Music and graduated in 1981. She was the school librarian in Kadoka until 1997 when she retired and moved back to the Hills.

She is survived by her brother, Gene (Anita) Farrell of Rapid City; sister, Lucille Fox of Palm Desert, CA; sons, Stephen Dias of Riverside, Rhode Island and Greg (Patti) Dias of Spearfish; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Roy, Larry and Charles Farrell.

Vigil will take place at 7PM on Thursday, March 19, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the church. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
