Obituary

Harold Duane Skeesick, 77, longtime resident of Sundance, Wyoming joined the Lord from his home on April 23, 2007 after a short battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Gateway Baptist Church in Sundance with Reverend Wayne Phillips officiating.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to benefit Gateway Baptist Church and Crook County Hospice.

Harold was born October 15, 1929 to Bert and Mable Skeesick in Cushing, Minnesota. He served in the United States Air force as a flight line mechanic. Harold met Joan Rosemarie Stoller in 1950. The couple married in January of 1951. They moved to Sundance, Wyoming in 1962, where Harold was employed with the nuclear power plant. He also was self-employed for many years in the logging business and later retired form Powder River Energy after over twenty years with the company. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and teaching and calling square dancing. Most of all he enjoyed camping with all of his family members.

Grateful to have shared in his life is his wife, Joan Skeesick of Sundance, WY, two daughters, Jolene (Jim) Burr of Sheridan, WY and Tanya (Rocky) Mathisen of Gillette, WY, one brother, Delbert (Beryl) Skeesick of Weiser, ID, two sisters, Joann (Jim) Sypnieski of Brainerd, MN and Rosemary (Ken) Kramer of Brainerd, MN, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Bert Darwin Skeesick, a son, Duane Allen Skeesick and two brothers, Darrel and Dallas Skeesick.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler- Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance, WY.
