Harold Duane Friese, 88 of Spearfish, SD passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

"Duane" was well known for his upbeat spirit, endless generosity and contagious laughter. He volunteered around the community and was notorious for dressing as Santa, Rodeo Clowns and countless other lovable characters. Duane proudly served in the US Army and willingly fulfilled his patriotic duty in Korea, as a Heavy Vehicle Operator with the Combat Engineers in the 2 ^nd Infantry Division.

Duane leaves his daughters, Dena, Pam and Linda; his son, Michael; in laws; many grandchildren; great- grandchildren; cousins; nieces; nephews; and his close friends.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, SD. Services will immediately follow at 10:00am. Private family Inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembering Duane by beautifying a garden, adding a bird house or displaying an American Flag.
