SPEARFISH - Hallie K. Moyer, 95, Spearfish, passed away surrounded by
loving family and friends August 26, 2011 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare in Belle Fourche.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 29, 2011 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Black Hills National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills.

Hallie was born January 12, 1916 in Culver, Indiana to Melvin and Mabel Keen., She graduated from Indiana State University with Honors. She went to work for Dow Chemical in Minneapolis, MN as a chemist where she met her
future husband , William O. Moyer. They were married on August 20, 1939 in Culver, Indiana. Hallie and Bill left Dow Chemical to begin their own business venture: Moyer Chemical in Sioux Falls, SD. While in Sioux Falls, Hallie was active in the United Methodist (Asbury United) Church, a member of Eastern Star, and also President of the PTA for many years as her children progressed in school. She was also a leader of the local Girl Scout Troops. Hallie was always ready and willing to help in many organizations and capacities as needed. Hallie and Bill relocated to Sun City, AZ in the late seventies to enjoy the winters there and summers in Rapid City and Spearfish. They became permanent residents of Spearfish in 1987. Hallie and Bill enjoyed traveling the country in their RV.

Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Moyer, one son, Clay Moyer, and a granddaughter, Tamara Slaght.

Hallie is survived by one son, Rex (Rilea) Moyer, Spearfish; daughters, Liz Reffner, Spearfish; Linda Piel, El Cajon, CA; Martha Hermann, Salinas, CA. 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel of
