Gregory Scott Kruskamp, 66, born July 27th 1960 to Patricia Anne and Edward Leo Kruskamp in Akron Ohio. Greg spent his childhood in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio where he met his lifelong friends Eric Cardenas and Dave Machan. There he enjoyed fly fishing and attending concerts. After graduation he would go on to attend The Ohio State University, Iowa State University, and South Dakota State University to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Greg would later move to Boulder, Colorado to work as a phlebotomist and eventually become Chief Information Officer at Boulder Medical Center. It was there he would meet his life long spouse Kathleen Theresa Frost. They were married June 15th, 1996 at Christ Church in Lead, SD. While in Colorado, Greg enjoyed dirt biking, fly fishing, hiking, and skiing. It was here Greg and Kathy would welcome their first child, Augustus Gregory Kruskamp in July of 1999. In 2000 they would move to Spearfish, SD and would have their second child, Ella Rose Kruskamp in August of 2003.

While in Spearfish, Greg was an avid member of the community; he participated in the Historic Preservation Society, Spearfish Optimists Club, Planning and Zoning Committee, he was on the board of Directors for NHTC, and a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Greg and Kathy opened Black Hills Winery and would spend their time enjoying hobbies such as fishing, biking, hiking, golfing, and creating lasting memories with their friends and family.

On October 10th 2026, Greg passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
