Grant L. Hoscheid, 28 of Spearfish, SD died Tuesday, January 19th 2016 in Des Moines, IA.

Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm, Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral services will be at 2pm, Monday, January 25, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Spearfish.

Grant was born June 16, 1987 to Terry and Carol (Poulisse) Hoscheid in Huron, South Dakota. He was raised and attended school in Sioux Falls. He moved to Spearfish, South Dakota in 2004 to live with his father. He worked for his dad in cabinetry, then for local electrical contractors. He started his career as a Power Lineman at Primoris Aevenia Inc. in 2011; this took him to North Dakota and then a promotion led him to Des Moines, IA. Grant loved animals and greatly enjoyed his pets over the years. He enjoyed electronics and technology (teaching his parents how to use computers and smart phones), and had a passion for riding motorcycles. He loved riding in the Black Hills and especially in Spearfish and Vanocker Canyons.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Andersen (Mark Andersen) of Northfield, MN, his father, Terry Hoscheid (Reva Potter) of Spearfish, one brother, Nathan Hoscheid of Spearfish, stepmother, Julie Hoscheid of Spearfish, his maternal grandmother, Ruth Thompson of Huron, SD, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Jean Hoscheid, uncle Michael Hoscheid, maternal grandfather, Kenneth Poulisse, and step-grandfather, Gerald Thompson.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
