Gordon D. Kruzel, 71, of Deadwood died Saturday, August 28, 2010 near his residence.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deadwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the church. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery near Deadwood, SD.

Gordon Dominic Kruzel was born on August 4th 1939 in Franklin Township Wright County, MN, to Roman Paul & Anna Julia (Buehl)Kruzel. On July 22nd 1961, he married Margaret Doris Klepperich in Waconia, Mn. They moved to
Deadwood, SD on March 24th 1975. They owned and operated Triple K Texaco in Deadwood until 1986 and then started Triple K Tire & Repair in Central City, SD. Gordy was a good mechanic, wonderful husband and great father. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and repairing his antique tractors.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Kruzel and son Tom (Melissa) Kruzel all of Deadwood; his mother Anna; 11 brothers and sisters Phyllis (Frank)Klepperich, Caroline Klepperich, Mary Riggs, Robert (Barb) Kruzel, Ann (Vince) Herd, James (Laura) Kruzel, Margie (Kevin) Hoen, Mark (Kim) Kruzel, Kenny (Rozanne) Kruzel, Buddy (Jenny) Kruzel, Judy (Danny)Krantz; brother-in-law Ken Bakka; many nieces and nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews; special double cousins of son Tom's; Diane & Gregg Pruden, Linda & Greg Heinen, Joyce & Brian Schneewind. He was preceded in death by his father Roman and his sister Janice Bakka.
