June 21, 2015 at the family ranch our loving mother, Gioja Brislawn, age 79 passed on to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Graveside services will be held at 11am, July 3, 2015 at Pine Grove Cemetery near Oshoto, WY. A memorial dinner will follow at the Oshoto Community Bible Church.
Gioja will be greatly missed, she was a wonderful and caring person, and she will always have that gracious kind love that is true to our hearts.
Gioja was born May 13, 1936 in New York City, New York, to Benjamin and Gioja Webster. She was the second of four children, Audrey (passed) and she is survived by two sisters, Satguru and Lawrence and also leaves behind her three children; Josie Brislawn, Aileen Glonek and Bige Brislawn, son-in-law, Eddie Glonek, granddaughter, Laura Glonek and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Brislawn.
Gioja worked a lot of odd jobs, but one of her favorites was grooming dogs. She loved to be around animals, especially horses. Gioja moved to Vernal, Utah in 1960 and met Emmett Brislawn, they later moved to Nevada and were married in Carson City, Nevada on November 17, 1961. The couple worked on the Circle L Cattle Ranch, in Lovelock, Nevada. They then moved to Oshoto, Wyoming to work the family horse ranch. Gioja loved riding horses and supported the Spanish Mustangs, she loved to see the new foals in the spring. Gioja was a very talented artist and had a very unique style of fantasy art; she added her own flair to her work. Gioja loved Nevada and always seemed to have a special feeling when she talked about it.
