Obituary

Moorcroft, Wyoming resident Gertrude Hoshaw Clark Macmillan passed away February 24, 2018 at Crook County Long Term Care in Sundance, Wyoming.

She was born October 3, 1919 in rural Natrona County near the Pathfinder Dam site to Harry E. Hoshaw and Mary Ann (Dodds) Hoshaw. Following her graduation from Natrona County High School she married Charles Clark. They raised Judy at Alcova, Wy. The couple later divorced.

"Gertie" spent several years pursuing adventures as she traveled. She then settled in Moorcroft, WY to be near her brother and to work at the Hub Café. Her meticulous home and huge yard were sources of great pride and joy to her.

She is survived by brother, Walter Hoshaw, daughter, Judy Olson, grandsons, Wade Olson and Bart (Kari) Olson, three great-grandchildren, niece, Margaret "Babe" Lynch, nephew, Marvin Hoshaw and special friend, Terry Zink.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Harry "Buddy", Wilson and Allen, niece, Barbara Jeffres and nephew, Walter Hoshaw.
Gertrude will be inurned at the Alcova Cemetery at a later date. To honor her love for animals, memorials may be sent to Critter Care, CAMC, 4700 South Valley Drive, Casper, WY 82604 to assist pet owners with veterinary expenses.

Gertie had a kind heart and a wanderlust soul. She traveled her own road to her final peaceful destination.
