Geraldine (Gerry) Heisz  86, of Rapid City SD, formerly of Spearfish SD,  peacefully passed away on December 30, 2024 at the Hospice House, Rapid City SD.

Gerry was born in Bison, SD, to John and Clara Hoff.  Gerry met the love of her life, Don Heisz, and they were married October 15, 1955 making their home in Spearfish, SD where they raised their 3 daughters;   Diana, Denise and Dawn.

Gerry was a wife, mother and home maker.  She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she crocheted numerous baby blankets for newborns.   Gerry also enjoyed sewing (dressing the 3 girls alike when they were young), and loved baking (apple pies, strawberry rhubarb cake and chocolate chip cookies, all favorites of family and friends).

Gerry is survived by three daughters:  Diana (Mike) Hildebrand, Las Vegas NV;   Denise (Bob) Lee, Luverne,  MN;   Dawn (Dwayne) Brimm, Rapid City SD;  three grandsons:  Jeremy  Hildebrand, Austin Lee, Ryan (Molly) Messer, and one great-grandson Jamysin Hildebrand.

Gerry is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Donald Heisz, two sisters Arlene Jorgenson and Marlene Willis, one brother Albert Hoff, and one grandson Josh Lee.

Memorial services will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish.  Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
