Obituary

George Woodrow Niemeyer Jr, 60, of Spearfish, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.

George was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colo. He attended high school where he met his wife Dianne and to this union they had two children. He was employed with Safeway for more than 30 years as a meat cutter. He moved to Cheyenne, Wyo in 1981 where he met his second wife Dixie. No children were born to this marriage. George moved to South Dakota in 1993. George was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed collecting rocks, exploring the black hills, camping, plants, cooking and most of all his children and grandchildren.

George is Survived by his two children Jon and his wife Lorri of Curlew, WA and their 3 children; Jacob 13, Lillie 11 and Jorge 4. Joseph and his wife Elissa of Sundance, WY and their 2 children; Arianna 7 and Jessica 6. His sister Peggy Wilson and her husband Jay of Karnak, Il and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. George & Clara Niemeyer, his two sisters Genora Riggs and Georgia Lee Crumby and his wife Dixie Niemeyer.
