Gary was born November 12th 1960 in Gadsden, Alabama. He spent most of his early years in Gadsden. Being a military family they moved to Florida, California and Texas. Gary graduated from high school in Beeville, TX.

Gary enjoyed racing of any kind, anything that went fast and turned left. His favorite race was flat track motorcycle racing with his son Wyatt. Even though Gary was not able to race this year he loved watching Wyatt race, giving advice and being head mechanic. He loved traveling and seeing new places, he was always looking for a new adventure. He loved living on the edge and giving his wife a few more gray hairs. He loved camping and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He had such a zest for live and lived each day to the fullest. He was very proud of all of his children, "his, mine and ours", each one of them were so special to him. He loved to tease, and give those around him a hard time. He will always be missed and loved by all who knew him. His memory will never fade.
