Frances Louise Tetreault, 80 of Spearfish, South Dakota passed away August 28th 2009 at the Hospice House in Rapid City, South Dakota, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 15th 1929 to Nadine (Driscoll) Wood and Ben Wood. Frances was raised in Belle Fourche, South Dakota and married the love of her life, Floyd Tetreault June 23rd 1949. Throughout her life Frances pursued her passion for art and travel. She received her Doctorate in Art Education at ASU, and painted throughout her life. Her travels took her to Europe and many other countries, which helped to inspire much of her art work. Her love of animals and her compassion for the less fortunate guided her quest through life. She did many helpful things for people, not for recognition, but because she felt she could make a difference. Frances is survived by her daughter, Susan Tetreault Paul and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, sister, Jesse Christianson, brother, Billy Ben Wood, and son Bill.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 5th 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spearfish.
