Florence "Marie" Post, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on September 15th, 2024. Born on April 22, 1936, Marie grew up in Larned, Kansas, where she quickly became known for her warmth, generosity, and fierce love for her family.

Marie had a passion for nurturing others. As a devoted mother to Shawn and Denice, she instilled values of kindness, resilience, and integrity in her children and grandchildren, which they carry with them to this day. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent spoiling them with her famous snickerdoodles and hugs.

Marie was also a gifted artist, contributing significantly to her community through her handmade cards. Whether volunteering or offering a helping hand to her neighbors, Marie's spirit of selflessness and compassion will be deeply missed.

Those who knew Marie will remember her for her infectious smile, her kindness, and her unyielding strength, especially in times of adversity. She had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and loved.

Marie is survived by her sister Carolyn Duncan; daughter Denice (James) De Stefano; grandchildren Kristine (Anson) Juelfs, Jim De Stefano, Jennifer De Stefano, Erin Chord, and Kara (Isaiah) Sandford; great-grandchildren Zak Juelfs, Evan Juelfs, and Anya Juelfs. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Alice Campbell; brothers Marvin and Eugene Campbell; husband Leo Post; daughter Shawn Post, and son-in-law Kerry Haug.

A service to celebrate Marie's life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the  United Methodist Church in Spearfish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spearfish United Methodist Church.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Marie. You will be dearly missed.
