Evelyn Grace Rozman, 83, Spearfish, SD died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Evelyn was born in Stone Lake, WI on March 10, 1931 to William and Hazel (Norton) Higgins. She graduated from West Bend High School in West Bend, WI in 1949. After graduation she worked for Amity Leather Company in West Bend.
On August 4, 1956 she married Robert Rozman in Jackson WI and they were married for 58 years. After marrying they made they home in Ely, MN where they lived until 1977 when they moved to Gillette, WY. In 1998 they retired and moved to Spearfish, SD. They also lived for in Buffalo for a brief time before moving back to Spearfish. Together they raised three sons and one daughter.
Evelyn loved to cook, grow flowers, gardening, sewing and embroidery. Her love of cooking lead to her working as a baker/cook at the Ely Bloomenson Hospital in Ely, MN for three years and Gillette Memorial Hospital in Gillette for 16 years.
Evelyn and her husband Robert loved to travel and took several memorable trips to Nashville, TN, Southern Colorado and Banff/Jasper Alberta, Canada.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Rozman, Spearfish; sons, Mark Rozman, Gillette, WY, Robert (Julie) Rozman, Rozet, WY and Craig (Kathy) Rozman, Thornton, CO; daughter, Ruth (Phillip) Wunder, Gillette, WY; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services for Evelyn will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Inurnment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
