Evan Maddison, 73, Beulah, WY died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.
Evan was born in Belle Fourche, SD to Milton and Helen (Dillavou) Maddison on January 3, 1942. He grew up in Aladdin, WY near Cook Lake on the family homestead. He started working in the logging industry at the age of 18, where he fell in love with every aspect of it. He spent most of his years driving a logging truck and later driving over the road trucks. He was also a member of the Spearfish Volunteer Fire Department for many years, until retiring.
Evan was someone who loved the people around him and if he didn't he would let you know. He was a great man, who touched many lives along his journey.
He was loved and cared for by many people, especially his loving partner, Marilyn Klingman, Beulah, WY; daughter, Deb (Chad) Aspelin, Spearfish; son, Derald (Estella) Maddison, Hulett, WY; sister, Gwennie (Durwood) Weaver, Aladdin and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Donna.
Visitation for Evan will be 4 PM – 6 PM, Thursday, January 15 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral Services will be at 1 PM, Friday, January 16 at Countryside Community Church in Spearfish. Interment will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to benefit the Spearfish and Beulah Wyoming Volunteer Fire Departments.
