Eva Henwood, 78, of Spearfish, SD, died Monday, November 12th 2007 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Spearfish.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday, November 15th 2007 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.

Another visitation will be held from 10:30AM until 11:30AM on Friday, November 16th 2007 in the chapel at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Spearfish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 16th 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Spearfish, with Reverend Dar Berkenpas officiating, burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.

A memorial has been established to benefit the High Plains Western Heritage Center in Spearfish.

Eva was born on November 3rd 1929 in Lemmon, SD, to Peter and Pauline (Erickson) Lindstad. She graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1947 and married William J. Henwood on November 29th 1947. The couple had four children: Diane, William "Bill", Jerry, and Douglas. They lived on ranches in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota and also ran Bill Henwood Propane.

Eva was a lifetime member of the Black Hills Art Association, a member of the Doll Club, Paint and Pallet Club, the Lower Valley Extension Club and a 4-H Leader. She taught arts & crafts to Sunday schools at the local Methodist and Lutheran churches.

Eva is survived by one daughter, Diane (David) Carpenter, Cheyenne, WY, three sons; William "Bill" (Vicky) Henwood, Hay Springs, NE, Jerry Henwood (Judy Gray), Spearfish, SD and Doug (Jonna) Henwood, Spearfish, SD, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Jeanie (Gerald) Wethor of Surprise, AZ.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, three sisters and one daughter-in-law.
