Eunice Mae (Prell) Graham was born November 5, 1921, In Arnold, Nebraska to Jesse Prell and Cora (Beardsley) Prell. Eunice went to meet her Lord on August 13, 2015 at Crook County Long Term Care Facility in Sundance, WY. She attended country school until transferring to Lusk, WY, where she graduated high school. Upon graduating, Eunice attended Normal Training and went to teach in country schools. In 1943, Eunice met the love of her life, Joe Graham, who fell in love with her beautiful blue eyes. A year later, the two were wed on February 23, 1944, in Broadus, MT, and remained the sparkle in each other's eyes for 71 devoted years. To this marriage, two sons, Dave and Dick, were born. In 1966 and 1968, Eunice gained the daughters she always wanted, when Dave and Dick married sisters, Sherry and Janet Thompson.
Joe and Eunice spent their entire lives on the ranch they built, down Inyan Kara Creek; which has been called home to five generations. Throughout their lives together, Joe and Eunice were active members of their community. Eunice served on the Crook County election board, was a fifty year member of Eastern Star, and was a Daughter of the Nile. Her passions included knitting, crocheting, making decorative dolls, cross-stitching, and creating many other things to share with family and friends. Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren cherish the baby blankets crafted from her loving hands. She was also an avid gardener, with a green thumb. Eunice's home was always filled with love and the aroma of a warm meal for anyone who had the fortune to step through her door. Haying crews, hunters, neighbors, family, friends and even those simply passing though knew they could find genuine hospitality in Eunice's home.
Eunice was proud of her grandchildren, and was delighted to watch each one grow, graduate, get married, and raise their own families. Her five grandchildren include Amy (Randy) Rathbun, Wright, Scott (Shayla) Graham, rural Moorcroft, Jeff (Shelane) Graham, Hereford, SD, Marty (Tina) Graham, rural Moorcroft and Jenni (Gabe) Gill, rural Moorcroft. Eunice thoroughly enjoyed her thirteen great-grandchildren; Cole and Cora Fitzgerald, Larissa Rathbun (Amy's), LaNae and Dace (Scott's), Jade, Sanden and Sage (Jeff's), Selby and Delcy (Marty's) and Kailee, Lani and Addilyn (Jenni's).
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Daniel. She is survived by her husband, Joe Graham, sister, Lula "Toots" Lundy, sons, Dave (Sherry) Graham, Dick (Janet) Graham, five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless family members, friends and neighbors.
