Obituary

Ethel Marie (Baumfalk) Nold, 84, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on October 20, 2020. Ethel was born in Gillette, Wyoming on December 25, 1935 to Irma (Mulder) Baumfalk and Dick "Jiggs" Baumfalk. After a short time living in California, the family moved back to Gillette where Ethel finished elementary school at Wyodak Country School and then attended high school in Gillette.

Ethel met Bernard W. Ross and they married in 1952. Their daughter Linda was born later that year. They later divorced. In 1958, she married Leonard "Lenny" Nold and together they opened their home and hearts to two sons, Marvin and Patrick. They were later greeted with two daughters, Norma Lynn and Traci Lee and one son, Leonard David "LD".

Ethel was once a member of the Upton Chapter of Rebekah's and the Upton VFW Auxiliary. Over the years she opened her home to watch just about every kid in Upton. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crocheting and later as the kids were in school, she loved chaperoning the UHS wrestling cheerleaders and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events. She always had a house full of teenagers that called her Mom or Grammy.

Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two sons, and two granddaughters. She is survived by her brothers, David (Pam) Maxon and Marvin Head; her daughters, Linda (Darrel) Brainard, Norma (Tim) Terras, and Traci (Chris) Schneider; son, Patrick (Leah) Shining Elk; her 11 grandchildren, Heath, Shawna, Lacy, Amber, Mikey, Adam, Jimmy, Joey, Sydney, Trey and Michelle and seven great-grandchildren, Johnny, Jordan, Carlee, Kaegan, Knox, Kaiser and Axton.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, at 11:00 with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made at First Tier bank to benefit the Upton Mat Cat Wrestling club and Upton Ambulance Service.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance. Online condolences may be written at www.fidler-isburgfuneralchapels.com
