Obituary

Ethel E. Moeller, 94, Sundance, WY passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Crook County Memorial Nursing Home.

Ethel was born on August 26, 1919 to Fred and Clara Maas in Huron, SD, and received her schooling in Yale, SD.

Ethel married Henry Moeller on March 8th, 1938. To this union six children were born, Donald (Tuff), Betty, Jeanette (Jenny), Darold (Chub), Eleanor and Linda. They farmed in Cavour, SD for four years then bought a ranch north of Rapid City, SD on Box Elder Creek. In 1956, they sold their ranch in Rapid City and bought a ranch south of Sundance. She had many busy years on the ranch sewing, gardening, canning and preserved large amounts of food for the winter months.

Ethel enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many friends. She was especially fond of babies and the elderly. She was always very active as a member of the United Methodist Church,teaching Sunday school for many years, and also a member of the Homemakers Club through her active years.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Betty (Bill) Myers, Jeanette (Larry) Crawford, Linda (Bernard) Betz; son, Darold (Roberta) Moeller; daughter-in-law, Peggy Moeller; son-in-law, Jim Litzel; sister, Lenora Scott; brother, Ray Maas; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Moeller; parents, Fred and Clara Maas; son, Donald (Tuff); daughter, Eleanor; grandsons, Monte, Murray, Stan and William; great-grandson Clay; three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Sundance United Methodist Church in Sundance. Burial will take place at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to benefit the Sundance Assisted Living Center and Crook County Memorial Nursing Home.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance.
