Obituary
Erwin O. Brandt, 74, Spearfish, SD died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his home.
Erwin was born on August 25, 1939 to Otto and Caroline (Lutteke) Brandt in Fairbault, MN. Erwin owned and operated Brandt Construction Company of Gillette, WY and spent many years in the construction business. He married Laurel Hobson on June 24, 1995 in Casper, WY. After retiring from the construction business, Erwin and Laurel made their home in Spearfish, SD at the Oak Apartments.
Erwin was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 35 years, and was a great influence on new A.A. members. He was loved by all and everyone will have special memories of him. Erwin's sobriety date was July 11, 1978.
Erwin is survived by his children, Ann Zetterstrom, Betty Foy, Peter Brandt, Caroline Burger; step-son, Curtis Hobson and a brother, Henry (Hank) Brandt.
There will be a Service of Remembrance at the Serenity Club House, 950 Main Street, Sturgis at 1:30 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2013.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
