Obituary
Elsie H. Peterson, 77, of rural Newell, SD died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Monday, May 14, 2007 at the First Lutheran Church in Newell, with Pastor Harlan N. Robbins officiating, burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Newell. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Elsie was born on July 30, 1929 in Newell, SD, to Henry and Maria (Schoepp) Zeestraten. She married John Peterson on January 25, 1953.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years John Peterson of rural Newell, one brother Thomas (Sharon) Zeestraten of Belle Fourche, SD, one nephew John (Liza) Zeestraten of Spearfish, and four grand nieces and nephews; Rebecca, Bethanie, Cordell and Kelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Edwin and one nephew Steven.
