Elmer "Jack" Barden, 87 of Spearfish, SD passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center in Belle Fouche, SD.

Elmer (Jack) Clark Barden was born March 20th, 1931 to Theodore Barden and Sarah Elizabeth (Rogers) Barden in Twilight, SD. He passed away September 14 ^th , 2018 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare facility.

Jack is survived by his children Linda Lanning, Jacky Richard, Peggy Cook, Robin Walters, Theodore Barden, Shawn Barden, Dan Palmer, Ellen Simco, Mitchel Palmer, Elna Newman, and Norma Jacobs. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Edith M. (Philip) Barden. Jack and Edith were married in Sturgis, SD on October 9 ^th , 1971.

Jack was a man of many talents. He was a mechanic, woodworker, Homestake Mine tour bus driver, bentonite truck driver, and school bus driver. In addition to his different careers, he was a caregiver for foster children. No matter what he was pursuing, he always made sure that his families were taken care of in every way.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with Inurnment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
