Ellen was born February 11, 1929 in Boy River, Minnesota and was raised and graduated from high school in Hackensack, MN. She married Harland Primmer on January 9, 1949 in Hackensack. They lived in Backus, MN and then moved to Minneapolis, MN, where they raised their family. In 1994 the couple moved to Monticello, MN, where they lived for nine years before moving to Spearfish, SD in September of 2003.
Ellen loved her family and had many wonderful family gatherings at her home. She was an excellent cook, so holidays were always happy times to be shared at her house. She loved camping with her relatives and friends at Cass Lake, MN. Her home was a gathering place for neighbors to come and she always had an open heart to share with those who wanted to visit. She brought happiness to others by being her own wonderful self. We will miss her dearly.
Ellen is survived by her husband, Harland H. Primmer, Sr. of Spearfish, SD, two daughters, Vickie Tucker of Lafayette, CO, and Mary Ellen Huber of Belle Fourche, SD, one son, Harland H. (Susan) Primmer, Jr. of Maple Grove, MN, granddaughter, Megan Huber, grandson, Grant Primmer, one brother, Bruce (Lenore) Dickinson, one sister, Judy (Roy) Shelby, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel of Spearfish.
