Obituary
Elaine Porter, 76, of Deadwood passed away at her home on Thursday, July 08, 2010.
Memorial Services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead, SD with Pastor Steve Agan officiating.
Elaine was born on September 30, 1933 to Newell and Velva (Machan) Crofutt in Gettysburg, SD. She married Gerald "Mike" Porter on September 16, 1950 In 1955the moved to Spearfish and to Deadwood in 1962. Elaine was proud to be a wife and mother and raise her three children.
Survivors include her husband Mike Porter, daughter Shary Porter (Dave Waisanen); son Jerry (Kim) Porter; son-in-law Eddie Grenstiner, all of Deadwood; four grandsons, four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; sister Wilma (Ed) Carr; brother Sonny (Chris) Crofutt and numerous nieces and nephews. She is precedded in death by her parents and daughter Connie Grenstiner.
