Edna M. Loughlin, 94 of Spearfish, SD, died on Sunday , March 4, 2012, in Yakima, WA.

Edna was born June 6, 1917, on the family farm near Athboy, SD, to Christ and Lydia (Fisher) Eisenbeisz. She grew up at Athboy. She married Bill Stapert on December 24, 1937 and moved to Isabel, SD. To this union five children were born. Bill died in 1972 and after his death, Edna moved to Spearfish. She married Orley Loughlin on May 25, 1973 in Spearfish, SD. He died May 13, 1991.

In addition to being a housewife, Edna worked as a custodian at Black Hills State University for 13 years.

Edna is survived by her children; Edith (Jim) Fischer, Spearfish; Gerald (Claudette) Stapert, Lantry, SD; Duane (Becky)Stapert, Montana; Jane Ann (Clete) Greseth, El Paso, TX; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Martha O'Donnell, Gillette, WY; Agnes Glatt, Spearfish and brother, Clarence Eisenbeisz, Spearfish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter, Bernice Frank, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Hope Lutheran Church, Spearfish followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10 at Hillsview Cemetery, Isabel, SD.
