Edith Yvonne Kline, 86, passed away on May 25, 2015 at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyoming. She was always known by her middle name.
Yvonne was born in Shady Point, Oklahoma, on January 5, 1929, to Bert and Clara Crumpton. At the age of 7, she moved with her family to Oak Creek, Colorado. In 1947 she married Calvin (Bud) Kline. They lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, until moving to Gillette in 1981.
Yvonne and her husband were members of the VFW. Yvonne was very social and loved to volunteer. She was a volunteer at the Campbell County Senior Center for many years. After surviving cancer, she became dedicated to helping Relay for Life. She attended every local Relay except one from 1996 to 2014. She loved to ride on her son-in-law's Harley motorcycle. When she could no longer get on the bike, she rode in the sidecar.
Yvonne is survived by daughters Janet Zimmerman (Ken) of Gillette, and Rita Edinger of Ft. Collins, Colorado; son, Robert Kline of Lead, South Dakota, sister Opal Maestas of San Jose', California; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Kenitha, and brother George.
A memorial service will be held at the Pioneer Manor Chapel, 900 W. 8th Street in Gillette on Monday, May 4th at 1:00 p.m.
