Ed Roy Grenstiner passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Ed was born April 11, 1954 in Deadwood, SD to Roy and Irene Grenstiner. He attended school in Terryville, SD and later graduated from Lead High School in 1973. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart Connie Porter on August 11, 1973.

Brandi, Jason and Lacey. Ed was employed with the Lawrence County Highway department for 39 years before retiring. Ed was a hard worker and provider and carried several other part time jobs with the Mineral Palace, Deadwood Trolley Department and First Gold.
Ed loved old cars. It was Ed, his wife Connie and a couple of friends that initiated the start up of Kool Deadwood Nights with only 11 cars. Ed's 1956 Chevy Bell Air was the first poster car for this event. Ed also enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid hunter.
Ed loved spending time with his family, especially his grand children who held a special place in his heart.
Ed never knew a stranger for long, he had many friends in which he enjoyed car shows, motorcycle rides and ridiculously early breakfasts.
