Drew was born August 28, 1962, in Belle Fourche, SD to Delores and Les Cooper. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1980, later with a B.S. degree from Black Hills State College and he attained his Masters from USD.

Drew was a wonderful father to Christian and Carly and loving husband to Doreen. They were happily married for 19 years. His love of water-skiing and outdoor activities was shared with his family. His happiest times were spent with his whole family in his boat on the water at Orman Dam and Keyhole Reservoir. Drew's and Christian's new found love of hunting and fishing was gained through his father-in-law and brothers-in-law who taught him everything they knew and loved about the great outdoors. He will always be remembered for his welcoming smile, overwhelming generosity and colorful Hawaiian shirts. Drew would give anyone the shirt off his back and ask nothing in return.

Drew's great work ethic was begun in high school working at South Side Standard and Pioneer Bank in Belle Fourche. Drew was in business at Spearfish Honda Yamaha for years and currently worked at Tri-State Limited in Spearfish and was currently co-owner in Recreation Station.

Drew is survived by his wife Doreen, his son Christian Drew (age 15) and daughter Carly Ruth (age 8), his mother Delores (Jerry) Ekberg, his brothers, Dana (Terri) Cooper and daughters and LeWayne Cooper and son.
He was preceded in death by his father, Les Cooper; his grandparents Floyd and Marie Cooper and Scott and Mary Ellen Browning.
